Sahara Tabriz Fakhir, the 32-year-old Douglasville woman accused of killing the father of Douglas County Sheriff's Office Deputy Michael Wheeler, demanded today that a judge release her, according to WSB-TV.

"If you do not release me," Fakhir said, "Allah will have vengeance on you."

Fakhir, whose home is next to the residence of murdered businessman Jerry Wheeler, was arrested Tuesday on a charge of giving a false name to authorities. She made an initial appearance before Douglas County Superior Court Judge Robert J. James today to face charges in connection with Wheeler's death.

On June 19, Dep. Wheeler found his 66-year-old father stabbed to death in the family's Chattahoochee Drive home, Douglas County Chief Deputy Stan Copeland told the Douglas County Sentinel and WSB-TV.

It was the first homicide in Douglas County this year.

Fakhir, who is Muslim, told court officials that Allah was her lawyer and said the courthouse was cursed, according to WSB-TV.
