Update: Student Has 2nd Degree Burns, Expects Full Recovery

Dr. Gordon Pritz, superintendent of the Douglas County School System said the student injured expects to have a full recovery.

A Chapel Hill High School student caught on fire at school Thursday.

"This evidently occurred late last night at an open house as part of a lab demonstration. It is my understanding the student was transported by ambulance to a hospital and treated for second degree burns and is expected to have a full recovery." said Dr. Gordon Pritz, superintendent of the Douglas County School System.
