Douglasville Man Arrested for Attempted Murder in Ala.

A Douglasville, Ga., man has been charged with attempted murder in Alabama for shooting a man in the back during an apparent robbery in June.

The Jacksonville, Ala., Police Department said Jeremee Bernard Griffin, 21, turned himself into police Tuesday afternoon, according to a post on the department’s Facebook page. He also is charged with first-degree armed robbery.

Griffin is being held on two $50,000 bonds, according to police.

Griffin allegedly shot Vilas Rajesh Patel, a cook at a local restaurant, on June 16, AL.com reported.
