Citizen's Petition to DC BOC - STOP FORECLOSURES - INCREASE HOME VALUES

A large group of Concerned Citizens have started a "Citizen's
Petition" to our Douglas County Board of Commissioners request-
the board to create a "9 Month" Home Foreclosure Moratorium and to utilize a Non-Profit Neighborhood Stabilization Program to remove most current and all future home foreclosures from the market place so our HOME VALUES can INCREASE by 40% or more
based on proven results of that plan by large metropolitan areas
across the nation.

Our non-profit, Douglas County Home Ownership Help Alliance, was formed in 2008 to Stop Foreclosures along with help from our federal government and Georgia agency's Home Foreclosure
Prevention Units. Given enough time, we can normally Stop 80%
of home foreclosures through programs those agencies provide.
The State of Georgia is a non-judicial foreclosure state and allows a mortgage lender to foreclosure within ~ 60 days. The 60 days
is insufficient to process the paperwork to Stop Most Foreclosures and that's why we need a "9 Month" Foreclosure Moratorium. Then, the Non-Profit Neighborhood Stabilization Program would
remove most of the remaining foreclosure properties. Then, that
would allow All our Non-Distressed Homes to return to their
Pre-2008 Values or more which is ~ 40% Higher than they are
Valued at now.

There are 3 Board of Commissioners that have stated they'll
attempt to pass our petition requests, if a lot of our citizens are in favor. That's why we've created the petition.

Please Go T0 - http://www.petitions.moveon.org/sign/stop-home-foreclosures and sign our petition and request All those
you know to do the same thing.

Regards,

Randy Long, Director
Douglas County Home Ownership Help Alliance, a non-profit
