ReplyI contacted Carters services last summer, because I agree, they are needed, Unfortunately they are available in foreign countries. We just figure America doesn't have these problems. It is a service delivery gap, and resulting loss of freedom.

ReplyCan you add me Mr. Robinson to the petition since my land is key and I was out of state working when the meeting reviewing maps was held, and I can't vote, in DC and much of this impacts me? Due process is certainly a problem here in DC. And it does threaten our freedom. Thank you for filing. If they governed instead of throwing it all on the lawyers, at taxpayer expense, we might have more funds.

ReplyVirginia, research storm water and water damages here. i would love your help.
It is very expensive for the public. It is an education problem. It is a fraud problem with the impact being ethics, morals, trust and transparency today. In either case it is a very expensive problem, and we are paying dearly, with most of us not having a clue. When we address it, we will get to be a better place. I am convinced of that. But it begins with education, and who should be doing that? I am 100% self taught. The school of hard knocks. -
On the article What Happened to Douglasville Diner?

ReplyInteresting piece about the Douglasville Diner. In Decatur, it was a year in the waiting for it to open, and they were packed with people waiting in line. Then after a year just closed. Had a prime location.
A friend and I went there and he kept saying, I will bet this place is a cover up for something else. He kept saying, wouldn't be surprised if they laundered money out the back door. I thought it a little rude to be saying that, and even told him so, but asked what makes you say that? It seemed pretty strange thing to say for a place that was packed with people, waiting in line. His comment was they are too smooth, too much food, too long to open, and they can't be making money with the portions. They are huge.
Watch, the portions will get smaller, and day by day they did. And lines now gone.
Then overnight, the diner just closed. In an instant, gone. And then I learn that the exact same thing happened in Douglasville, and I wonder what is going on?
That is a pretty outrageous thing for him to have said, especially since he had no evidence and facts.
Just wanted to give Douglasville some insight into what happened out this way. They closed overnight too.
Of course they could just be broke, or maybe some of what my friend said had even been true.
Since they don't answer the phone, and are nowhere to be found. The best restaraunt in Douglasville in my opinion is Sam and Roscoes, which used to be Aldos.

ReplyI think this mayor may be better then you think. He is bold and willing to step forward, and take risks. i think you want that in a leader. Accidents happen. Mistakes are made. How long do we focus on them? When do we move into the future? I think the future is now. His leadership is refreshing.

ReplyHow can you say you have enhanced 911 services, then ignore the cars that crash at the street at the center from water from businesses permitted above with no permits? How do you know this, and allow it anyway? And why do you throw aside homeowners that bring problems with flash flooding forward, then blame them for buying the new home sold to help dc grow, that the city permitted, that should never have existed but has for 26 years? I was concerned about public safety. The results, the county told me, your land is now worth zero, while we tax your home.
Say what? Oh, ok, we shall make it worth a dollar, so it fits in the box.Enhanced 911 Mr. Worthan? Nobody answers the phone. Cars are trapped at the street. Streets collapse. Money is wasted at public and private expense.
Manage your flood plains!!!!
It is the law. It impacts all of us. It is not safe as is. Give me a break. This is my land. What is the city and county doing allowing everybody to engage in water balloon battles through my backyard, and into your streets? We bought because nobody would ever build in our backyard. Until the 2009 DC flood, I believed nobody ever did. You folks handed out king sized butterfingers, to everybody at the party, then said so what. Well you all have giant cavities now. We need a dentist. For real.
Others may not understand all of this, but I know that you do. We have to change. It doesn't work as is. -

ReplyWhat are the values here? Public safety? How can this be when we focus on a 15,000 car and ignore a 15million dollar violation of public safety, and trust, hidden from view, but just as real.

Sherif Miller, DC has reduced all value from my land, after taxing me for 25 years at full value, yet continues to tax my home. I am told my home never allowed to be built. We purchased brand new. The WSA collects fees, from multiple businesses paying them fees, not me, to wipe it out with storm water. I have had no safe access for three years. Denied due process and too many constitutional violations to list.
How likely do you think it would be to protect my private property with a AR 15? Should I aim at city, county, wsa, and all the businesses too? I bet you would throw me in jail, and toss away the key. It is a myth to think that an AR 15 will protect private property from constitutional violations and deprivation to liberty. A grand illusion.
