Murray, this is Terry Miller, running for Mayor of Douglasville.

Thank you for participating in the public dialogue on this race. The theme of my campaign from the very beginning has been to build bridges within our community. We have suffered for too many years in this city at the hands of people who benefit from the divisions that have been created. We are in need of leadership that will reach out and bring this city together so that we can prosper and move forward. Leadership however, requires the right kind of temperament, experience and communication skills in order to succeed. I believe my education and my experience as an architect and city councilman provide me with the necessary credibility to ably perform this duty.

Thanks, and I hope you'll consider voting for me tomorrow!

Hi Murray,

I am working on a feature film that is helping a great cause as well as offering people the opportunity to get involved
with the film. I think this would be a great story to write about and tell people. I just wanted to pass this along. …Or If it’s not too much trouble, pledge on something (they are offering great things!) and if you can also please pass this along to your friends.

If I can help you out with anything or the production can help you with anything, please don’t hesitate to ask.

Here is the link for the film:

Hi Murray Jr.,

I'm a writer for The Patch, and also conduct classes and workshops about living Affordably Organic. (Check out my blog at www.affordablyorganic.com) I saw your question about buying organics in Douglasville and hope I can help. My family eats about 80% organically. We buy most of our goods at farmers markets - eggs, dairy, meat and produce. We have a good one here in Douglasville every Thurs. from 4 - 7 p.m. at Crossroads Church, just off Hwy 5. (Find them online at www.1010farmersmarket.com) While none of the farmers are "certified organic" most are "chemical free" or "grown naturally" which means they grow without pesticides but haven't forked out the big bucks to get a rubber stamp from the USDA. I also occasionally buy some products - mostly dairy and eggs when I'm in a pinch - at Kroger (Hospital Drive). The Natural Foods section manager, Kim, is very knowledgeable. Otherwise we eat from our own garden and get all other organic products from a variety of sources including Costo, Whole Foods and Trader Joe's. I hope this helps!
