Derrick Broughton, Neighbor

Derrick Broughton was born June 22, 1966 (45) and was raised by his loving mother Miriam Broughton with his four siblings in Atlanta Georgia. His Christian grandparents were a great attribute to his life. This close family experience helped Derrick realize how important family life truly is. He attended school in Atlanta.

Derrick has been married to Lenora for 22 years. They are proud parents of Jasmine and Derrick, Jr. They moved to Douglas County in 2001 and live in the Lithia Springs area. Derrick is a member Greater Levy Baptist Church.

Derrick’s desire to help and serve others led him to law enforcement as his chosen career path. He volunteered as a Reserve Deputy Sheriff. He then joined the Fulton County Sheriff Office in 1992.

Derrick is currently a Fulton County Sheriff Deputy where he has served for over 20 years and has served the Fulton County Police Department as a Patrol Officer.
