  • On the article Should Pitchers Be Required to Wear Helmets?

    Debra

    10:07 pm on Monday, May 13, 2013

Yes, I think they should have the choice of wearing a helmet when pitching. I think it would make the game better. As with all other protections they have that make them play better because their not worried so much about certain injuries. For example, it's like a guy wearing a cup. Not so much worry and thought about that area because they know it is protected. I think we should take advantage of our advanced era. We have it, use it to our advantage and for our safety like we do everything else that has advanced.

  • On the article Do You Eat Out More Than You Eat at Home?

I have to agree with you guys that say it's cheaper to eat at home--because it IS. And it taste better! For the ones that think it's cheaper to eat out--Truly do your Math and you will see the difference. Shop with a planned menu (meals and desserts) so there is no waste (just like you would order when you're out) and you'll see a Big difference in eating at home verses eating out. More fun at home too. You make it to your exact taste-just the way you want it.

  • On the article Is It Time for Banks to Ease Up on Credit Restrictions?

    Debra

    6:33 pm on Saturday, April 13, 2013

No, The banks should not loan money to people that have lesser credit. Stick to your 700 credit score. If you don't (banks) it will all come back to bite you in the a--. You will be blamed for another crash and you will most likely face charges etc. this time. They could shut down the banks that make these loans, lose your jobs, etc. It could be a lot worse the second time around. There is nothing wrong with renting a house. People can make it a home until they can afford to buy without such a struggle. Besides jobs are not secure for anyone right now. As for the banks, it's too much of a risk. Owning a home is not what gets the economy going anyway, it's JOBS that get the economy going, Top and foremost!!

  • On the Blog Post Wait! Don't Plant Your Tomatoes Yet

I'm 60 yrs old. Started working in the garden with my parents since i was 5 yrs old, and helped my grandparents with their garden too. Then did my own when i got married. And all my life i've been told you wait till after 'blackberry winter'' to plant the veg's. Blackberry is the last week of April but sometimes it's the 3rd week of April. We have to have that late frost for the blackberries to produce well. Hence, that's why it's called 'blackberry winter'. Most of the time it's a hard frost that is too harsh for tender veg's. But the harder the frost the better it will produce more and larger blackberries. Just wanted to let you know what the name of the last frost is called and why it is called 'blackberry winter'. (to all= Hope you have a healthy and plentiful garden this year.

Hard, You hit the nail on the head. Dr. Martin Luther King would be proud of about 90% of us now. But if he was still here he would say, "My work is still not done" because of the black leaders anger they still have towards white people and other groups. I think Dr. King would be very disappointed in our President as well. He would see that President Obama is one of the ones that still holds hatred towards whites and other groups. And it's making things go backwards. And we've come so far (full circle ) for this to be happening to us. They are 'hate people" that are doing this, some black and some white. And those people will always be that way. And they teach their children to hate everyone that does not agree to their beliefs. Sad but true. I don't think these kind of people will ever go away. There will always be those type here till the end of time. And Dr King knew that and knew he couldn't change every soul but he got 90% of the people to stand up against these haters, So i say "Yes his work was well done."

Loved it. We all had a great time. You just don't get a snow like that in Ga very often. It's very rare.

Cynthia Butler, then you may know Matt Barker. That's what he and his brother, Clinton, and their friends did also! They went down the long steep hill of Forest Hill Rd too. They said that was a blast. That was one fun snow storm in Powder Springs.

Pam J and Brian, I totally agree with you two. Not only will it cost way more than books, I don't believe students will study as much on a tablet as they would with a book. And tablets are worse on the eyes than books. I just really don't like this tablet idea. I vote NO on the tablet!!

  • On the article Is a Big Soda Ban a Good Idea?

Oh and by the way. Thank You Judge for stopping this ban and standing up for our rights. Banning the large soda would not have stopped the US from having obese people anyway. They could just go buy a cold 2 liter at the store and drink the whole thing. Yuk, but they could.
