Alice Shapiro is currently serving as Poet Laureate of Douglasville. She is a Pushcart Prize nominee, Georgia Author of the Year nominee, and author of three poetry collections.  Shapiro also won the Bill C. Davis Drama Award for a verse tragedy that was produced again at the Turner Cassity Literary Festival held July 2011 at the CAC.  Visit her website here
