The City of Douglasville will host an open house for the public to tour the new Douglasville Conference Center located at 6700 Church Street in Douglasville. The event will take place Saturday, Jan. 19 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. City staff will lead tours every hour throughout the day, and will also be available to answer any questions about the facility. Nestled in historic downtown Douglasville, the new conference center is uniquely equipped to host gatherings of any occasion. With its exquisite architecture and beautiful landscape, the facility includes a 7,672-square-foot ballroom that can comfortably accommodate up to 600 guests. Douglasville City Council members approved nearly $150,000 in additional work to the new downtown conference center.
Douglasville City Council members may have been caught off guard Monday night when nearly $150,000 worth of change orders were necessary for the new downtown conference center, according to the Douglas County Sentinel. Mark Reece of the Atlanta architectural firm of Rabun and Associates recommended the changes to make the building safe, the Sentinel said
