Texas Roadhouse to Cater our Competition to Gather Coats for Kids

If your office collects the most coats for Youth Villages, Patch will pay for your holiday office party.

The giving season is here and Douglasville Patch wants to reward those community businesses in Douglas County that give back to those in need during the holidays. We've partnered with the Douglas County Chamber's Young Professionals Connection and are collecting coats for the residents at Youth Villages this holiday season. The coats can be new or gently used and dropped off at the Douglas County Chamber anytime through Dec. 13. Youth Villages often gets overlooked when it comes to donations and with the cold months ahead, now the need is critical. Residents are ages 5 to 18 and need coats in all sizes ranging from 4T all the way up to plus sizes and big and tall sizes for some of the older residents. Douglasville Patch is offering an …

Troubled Youth Show Talent

Youth Villages in Douglasville to celebrate Global Youth Service Day.

On April 20 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. more than 100 children receiving help at the Youth Villages-Inner Harbour Campus will participate in a variety of service learning projects to celebrate Global Youth Service Day. The youth, who are receiving help for emotional, behavioral and mental health issues, will join hundreds of thousands of other young people around the globe on Global Youth Service Day, an international youth movement and the world’s largest and longest-running service event.
