Mary Vera Curtis Reece, 89, Dies

The family received friends on March 29 and again on March 30.

Mary Vera Curtis Reece, 89 of Winston, passed away on March 28, at Wellstar Community Hospice in Austell. Mrs. Reece was born to Arthur Grier Curtis and Margaret Ethel Beaver Curtis on March 16, 1924. She was one of four children. She had a spirit for living and was described as "spunky" by her family. She was known as a strong willed person and always spoke her mind. She enjoyed shopping, gardening, animals, and reading. More than her hobbies, she loved the lord and her family. Mrs. Reece was very strong in her faith and believed in the power of prayer. She made sure her family knew how much she loved them. Brenda Turner Toler, 64, Dies

Funeral Services were held in the funeral home's chapel with Rev. Harold Weatherford and Rev. Jeff Clark officiating.

Brenda Turner Toler, 64 of Dallas, passed away on Friday, Feb. 1, at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta. She was born to Harold Travis Turner and Mary Elizabeth Delong Turner on Dec. 10, 1948 in Atlanta. Brenda retired in 2010 from Cobb County after 30 years of service where she had been a special needs bus driver. She was a beloved member of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Dallas and was known as the "Best Mom and Sister in the World!" She is survived by her husband, John Province Toler, Jr.; sons, Junior Toler and his wife Cindy and Rodney Toler and his wife Shannon; daughters, Wanda and her husband Dale Banks and Renae Shelby; sister, Faye Spinks; brothers, Punkin Turner and his wife Doris and Jimmy Martin; 14 grandchildren and 2 great-…

Rachel Warren Bell Dies

Funeral Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Mableton Pentecostal Church with Interment at Mount Harmony Memorial Gardens in Mableton.

Rachel Warren Bell, 73 of Mableton, died on Friday May 25, at Tranquility Hospice. A homemaker and the mother of six sons and one daughter, Bell was a member of Mableton Pentecostal Church. Survivors include: her husband, Douglas McAurthur Bell, her children: Michael Wilson, his wife Lori and their children, Michael Jr, and Hailey from Maryland; Steve Wilson, his wife Patty,their children, Andy Wilson, Stephanie Byrd, her husband Chris and their children Tristan, Kylie, and Logan from Dallas; Elizabeth Baker from Sharpsburg, her son Ronny and his son Brandon, her son Adam, and his daughter Denise;  Mark Wilson, his wife Melody and their children Elijah, Ethan and Evan; John Bell, his wife Cindy, and their children Courtney, Madelyn and …
