Employees of The Centre at Arbor Connection and Sam & Rosco's enjoyed a holiday BBQ lunch provided by Texas Roadhouse after winning Patch's Office Party contest by donating 30 coats to the Douglas County Chamber for the residents at Youth Villages. The Young Professionals Connection collected a total of more than 80 coats for the residents at Youth Villages by encouraging local businesses to get in the holiday spirit and collecting coats to keep kids warm.
Stop by Sam & Rosco's for a delicious dinner this Sunday and the restaurant's owners and staff will send $15 for each dinner, plus gratuity, to the Red Cross for Sandy Relief.

Stop by Sam & Rosco's for a delicious dinner this Sunday, Nov. 18, from noon to 5 p.m. and the restaurant's owners and staff will send $15 for each dinner, plus gratuity, to the Red Cross for Sandy Relief. The entrée price is $20 plus tax and gratuity. Each meal comes with salad, garlic rolls and a soft beverage. Alcoholic Beverages offered a la carte. "The idea originated just because we are good citizens of the community," Rosco Sayyar said, co-owner of the restaurant that has been in the same area of Douglasville since 1987. "We've done things like this in the past," he said. "For 911 and Katrina, we raised more than $5,000 or $6,000 each. It's just part of what we do. As good citizens, it's our duty to give back. Carrabba's Italian Grill is opening an hour early (at 3 p.m.) and offering two-for-one drink specials, including Sangria, Margaritas and draft beers. The special menu includes the appetizer Spinach Fonduta and Fillet Tips with Polenta. Sam & Rosco's is featuring a limited, exclusive menu. It's one of the busiest days of the year for them, so they highly recommend reservations. Logan's Roadhouse is offering a Valentine's Day menu with many of their favorites, including the a lobster and steak combo. Tokyo Japanese Steak House isn't doing anything special but it's still something out-of-the-ordinary, so try it.
