Douglasville Patch voters have spoken. Beechwood Trails Pet Lodge is Douglasville Patch readers' favorite place for their pets. After we polled Patch viewers all week, Beechwood Trails Pet Lodge earned the most votes, 69 percent of the total. "We really appreciate our customers' support and trust to take care of their pets while they're away," Tina Wellborn said, co-owner of Beechwood Trails with her husband Gary. "We strive to have a facility that is safe and a good time for pets," she said. "This isn't just a job for us. We love dogs and cats too. "We're honored to be considered the best yorgurt in Douglasville," Joey O'Bryant said, store manager. "We want to make a difference in the community and this shows we're on the right track. It appears that when you want to get away without really going away, you go to Cartersville. In this week’s regional Readers’ Choice survey of staycation destinations, three of the top four vote-getters are Cartersville sites: Tellus Science Museum, Pine Mountain Recreation Area and Booth Western Art Museum. And even though six of the 19 poll options are in Cartersville Patch, commenters complained about a couple of the Cartersville sites we left off the list. This week's Readers' Choice poll asked Douglasville residents to pick their favorite florist.
The florist with one A++++++ rating in the Douglasville Patch directory has stolen the show this week. Frances Florist was the favorite in our Readers' Choice survey. Blossoms and Bows came in second. The staff at Frances has been checking the results online all week. "We are so thankful to all of our customers," said Shala Hainer, a part-owner. "We are humbled that people would go out of their way to vote." Tune in next week for your favorite place for Mother's Day brunch. After we polled Patch viewers all week, Oz Pizza earned 135 votes, 76 percent of the total. Irish Bred Pub & Restaurant came in second with 23 votes, 12 percent of the total.
