DashCam Catches Police Chase, Rollover; 2 Suspects Flee on Foot

Officers of the Douglasville Police Department arrested two suspected burglars Tuesday night and two fled on foot after the suspects' car rolled over.

The Douglasville Police Department is searching for two suspects that fled on foot after a high-speed chase on Interstate 20 that led to a rollover Tuesday night. Two of the four suspects in the vehicle were arrested, according to the DPD's Facebook page. The men are suspected of participating in two Douglasville burglaries that occurred overnight. One was at Douglasville Package on Douglas Blvd. and is believed to have been committed by the same suspects that hit 5 & 20 Package the night before. The second burglary was hours later, according to the report, at Sound Proof on Douglas Blvd. Officers spotted the vehicle suspected of being used in the Sound Proof burglary and the suspects sped away when officers attempted to stop them. Police Chase Ends in Fulton County

A man with an outstanding assault warrant led three police departments on a high-speed chase this morning, ending in Fulton County.

A man led the Douglasville Police Department on a high speed chase this morning after an attempted traffic stop on Interstate 20. The chase ended when the Georgia State Patrol assisted in spinning the man's vehicle out and bringing the vehicle to a stop, according to Douglasville Police Chief Chris Womack. The suspect had a warrant out for assault, issued by Fulton County authorities. The chase ended on I-20 westbound, near H. E. Holmes Drive ramp in Fulton County after several changes of direction, Womack said. The chase, lasting between 16 to 17 minutes, was initiated when officers attempted to pull the vehicle over for an improper turn, and the man fled. Bond Denied to Man Fleeing Police

Corey Lamar Ross was denied bond by Judge Susan Camp.

Corey Lamar Ross, 20, was denied bond Friday by Chief Magistrate Judge Susan Camp after being charged with felony fleeing, attempting to elude, reckless conduct, suspended license, reckless driving, hit and run (no injuries) and improper U-turn. Ross was arrested after fleeing a license check point just after midnight, according to the Douglas County Sentinel. The chase began early Friday morning at the westbound off ramp on I-20 at Lee Rd. Ross is accused of striking another vehicle and driving more than 126 miles per hour.

The Douglasville Police Department releases the patrol car footage of the chase that occurred Wednesday and ended in a rollover crash after Arbor Place Beverage was robbed. Speeds reached in excess of 80 mph.

Police Chase Ends in Rollover Crash

The two men in the vehicle sustained injuries and were taken to the hospital but no officers or bystanders were injured.

Two unidentified men are in the hospital and will face stolen vehicle and other charges after they attempted to elude the Douglasville Police Department this afternoon, ensuing in a chase and crash near Fairburn Rd. Shortly after 1 p.m. the Douglasville Police were notified of a felony alcohol shoplifting at Arbor Place Beverage on Douglas Boulevard, Sgt. Todd Garner said. Shortly afterward, a Douglasville police officer got behind a vehicle on Interstate 20 that matched the description of the men and car seen at Arbor Place Beverage, Garner said. The vehicle refused to stop and eventually exited on Lee Rd. The vehicle was close to Fairburn Rd. when the driver lost control and the car left the road, went airborne and flipped over. The …
