During the time spent at the pre-school, members were assigned to a classroom where they were responsible for using skills learned in their Early Childhood Education class by assisting teachers in doing crafts with the children, and getting them ready to meet Santa. New Manchester and Lithia Springs have a familiar region in the new six-class system, while Chapel Hill will spend a lot of time in Atlanta, and Alexander could pile up miles on I-85.

Just add the Tigers to what is Region 4-AAAAA in the current five-class system, grouping Douglas County with the likes of South Cobb (12 miles away), Pebblebrook (13 miles), McEachern (18 miles) and Hillgrove (18 miles). The GHSA decided to go a different direction with its move to six classes for the next two school years. The era of Douglas County’s public high schools all competing in the same sports region appears to be over. No one else in the Tigers’ current region, 5-AAAA, is moving into AAAAAA, so Douglas County will have to get used to playing new schools. The closest geographic fit for the Tigers’ new region is likely with some or all of the schools in the…
