The Douglas County Chamber of Commerce Leadership Douglas Class is sponsoring a County-wide recycling day that will benefit The CarePlace, a new medical clinic that will soon open in Douglas County.
The Douglas County Chamber of Commerce Leadership Douglas Class is sponsoring a County-wide recycling day in partnership with N.W. Georgia Recycling. Efforts will benefit The CarePlace, a new medical clinic that will soon open in Douglas County. In the attached video, Robert Cruz, N.W. Georgia Recycling, explains what types of recyclables will be accepted, as well as a bit of information about Douglasville-based N.W. Georgia Reycling. Recyclables can be brought to 6034 Douglas Blvd. Douglasville Ga. 30135., (The old Jordan Tractor Lot), on March 23 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Loads will be emptied from vehicle by volunteers from the class. Leadership Douglas, a Douglas County Chamber of Commerce Program, has a longstanding tradition of success in our community, and the chamber is currently accepting applications for the 2014 Class. Participants will get to know one another and will learn from the exchange of ideas and experiences. In addition, they will gain knowledge and understanding on crucial issues facing our community, while also attaining leadership skills to make a difference. Only 25 students are selected each year to participate in this highly selective program. Leadership Douglas is a program of the Douglas County Chamber Foundation.
