Officer Spreads K-9 Partner's Ashes on I-20 During Touching Ceremony

Sgt. A. Sanders spread his K-9 partner's ashes on I-20 Thursday in a ceremony attended by many officers from the Douglasville Police Department.

"That's at least a 1,000 pounds of dope," Sanders points out proudly. "He tracked and apprehended more than 20 wanted felons. Deek was a tough cop but he was …

I would imagine a Police Dog is so important to the lives of not only citizens but the Officer in the car. I think it would be an awesome story to share with people in the community I bet most people have no idea what goes into selecting an animal, the costs, and training before the dog is ready to take on his important tasks.   more ›
