Richard Laverne Pike, 80 of Whitesburg, formerly of Douglasville passed away Thursday, May 16. He was born Feb. 10, 1933 in Atlanta, Georgia the son of the late John William Pike and the late Carrie Dee Fiquette Pike. He married Lelan Lareice Phillips on July 5, 1956 in Grove Park, GA. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He retired from AllState Insurance having worked as a Quality Control Representative. Mr. Pike was very crafty and enjoyed woodworking. He enjoyed camping and loved playing his guitar and singing. He was devoted to his family. He was a member of Austell Christian Church. Bobby Joe Clark, 65 of Tallapoosa passed away Saturday, May 4, following an extended illness. He was born March 9, 1948 in Atlanta, the son of the late Bruce Clark and the late Evelyn Hedstrum Clark. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army having served in Vietnam. He was a locksmith for Diebold. He is survived by companion, Linda Andres of Tallapoosa; sons and daughter-in-law, Steven Bobby and Theresa Clark of Dallas and Kenneth Allen Clark of Dallas; sister, Elaine Turner of Villa Rica; brother, Danny Gantt of Douglasville; five grandchildren, Justin Clark, Ashley Clark, Kyle Clark, Jean Clark and Steven Clark; several nieces and nephews. Loal Theo Teal, 87 of Douglasville, passed away, Saturday, April 20, at his residence. He was born Oct. 15, 1926 in Fulton County, the son of the late Theo Teal and the late Ellie Montgomery Teal. He was retired from the U.S. Marine Corps and the U.S. Army, where he worked in Intelligence serving during, World War II in the Pacific Theater, Korean Conflict, and Vietnam Conflict. After his retirement he volunteered at Cobb Hospital and Douglas Hospital. He owned and operated two Irish pubs in Underground Atlanta. He was of the Baptist Faith and a Mason. Joseph Fred Little, 90 of Douglasville, passed away Thursday, April 18, at Douglasville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center following an extended illness. He was born Jan. 10, 1923 in Paulding County, the son of the late Rev. Joseph Oscar Little and the late Bernice Elizabeth Bishop Little. Mr. Little served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a farmer and retired from Avon where he worked on Spring Street in Atlanta since its opening. He also worked for the Douglas County Water Department. He owned and operated the Tiger Den Restaurant from 1969 to 1974. He served as a minister of the Gospel for many years. He enjoyed woodworking and spending time with his beloved grandchildren. He was born Sept. 20, 1919 in Carroll County, the son of the late James Omer Richardson and the late Elsie Elizabeth Carden Richardson. He married Dallas Watson on Oct. 1, 1939 in Carrollton, Georgia. He served in the U.S. Navy having served in active duty during World War II.
