The City of Douglasville will kick off Independence Day with its annual 4th of July parade starting at 10 a.m. in downtown Douglasville. Attendees can enjoy a festival, barbecue and concessions, while being entertained at the Douglasville Idol.

The City of Douglasville will kick off Independence Day Wednesday, July 4 with its annual 4th of July parade starting at 10 a.m. in downtown Douglasville. This year’s parade theme, “Amazing American Heroes,” honors the heroic efforts demonstrated daily by branches of the U.S. Military and public service departments throughout the nation. Come enjoy the patriotic procession, or enter your organization, vehicle or float in the parade. Tailgating at Arbor Place Mall
Before fireworks were canceled Monday night, crowds gathered to prepare for the patriotic display. Despite overcast skies, tailgaters commenced grilling, lounging and playing games to enjoy the evening in the Arbor Place Mall parking lot.
