Dustin Willis, 22, will spend at least the next nine years in prison after pleading guilty Wednesday to vehicular homicide and two counts of causing serious injury by vehicle for supplying alcohol to minors, the Douglas County Sentinel reports. Douglas County Superior Court Judge Robert James said Willis must serve nine years of the three 15-year sentences he received. The sentences will run concurrently. Willis was the source of the alcohol consumed by Jason Lark. He was in the Chevrolet Blazer that crashed and flipped early Feb. 19, 2011, while Lark was driving the group between drinking parties. One of the men charged in the drunken-driving-related death of Cheyenne Sauls is debating whether to take a plea deal or go to trial. Attorneys for Dustin Willis said during a Douglas County Superior Court hearing Wednesday that they have had extensive talks with prosecutors about a plea bargain, and they expect to decide soon, the Douglas County Sentinel reported. Willis, 21, is charged with tampering with evidence, being party to the crime of vehicular homicide, four counts of furnishing alcohol to minors and four counts of contributing to the delinquency of those minors. I feel so sorry for the sauls family. And why in the world aren't these parents watching their children better especially the dad who allowed the bonfire to be at his shouse with minors underage drinking.
