The Douglas County School System has announced its newest program in partnership with the Douglas County Chamber of Commerce, “Teacher 4 a Day.” This program will take place on Feb. 28, at all Douglas County Schools. “Teacher 4 a Day” is a program adopted by Douglas County School Superintendent, Dr. Gordon Pritz and Chamber President & CEO, Kali Boatright. This program will allow members of the community to visit one of the 33 schools and two specialized programs schools in Douglas County and shadow a teacher for a half school day. School teachers from each grade will be paired with a local member of the community who will experience a typical day in the teacher’s shoes.
