Local Author Dorothy Ann Ergle Willoughby, 84, Dies

The family will receive friends, today from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Dorothy Ann Ergle Willoughby, 84 of Douglasville, passed away, Jan. 8. She was born May 13, 1928 in Douglasville, to the late Thomas Luther Ergle and Clara Belle Milam Ergle. She was a homemaker and mother, the best one in the world. She was of the Baptist faith. At age 73, she wrote and published “Eight Adventures for Children,” a children’s book. She loved storytelling and was a lover of knowledge, very intellectually curious. In addition to her parents, Thomas Luther Ergle and Clara Belle Milam Ergle, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Joe Willoughby: sisters: Gladys, Ida Belle, Carolyn and Mary Ellen; brothers: Don and Chester.
