Check Out the Best “Decked” House in Douglasville

You voted and this house was the top local vote-getter in our Deck the House contest.

Give a gift to the environment this Christmas by recycling your Christmas lights at the Douglasville City Hall, Hunter Park or Jessie Davis Park.

Look for large blue bins in the lobby of City Hall, Hunter Park, and Jessie Davis Park, and just outside the front doors of the Police Department marked with these signs. Place your old, broken, or unwanted Christmas lights in the bins for recycling. Bins will be available until Jan. 4, 2013. The lights will go to NWGA Recycling here in Douglasville for recycling.  "We are hoping to make residents aware that many items can be recycling outside of your normal paper, plastic and aluminum," Chan Weeks said, Keep Douglasville Beautiful executive director. Continue your Christmas recycling by recycling your live Christmas tree at the Home Depot on Douglas Blvd. on Saturday, Jan. 5, 2012 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Christmas lights will also be …
