Army Vet, Billy Worth Hill Dies
The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel, Saturday, Sept. 15, from 9:30 a.m. until the funeral hour.
Billy Worth Hill, Sr., 82 of Douglasville, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 12, at his residence following an extended illness. He was born Aug. 16, 1930 in Royston, Georgia the son of the late Lloyd C. Hill and the late Myrtle Irene Sheriden Hill. He married Patsy Ann Bishop on Jan. 29, 1965 in Hartwell, Georgia. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. During his time at Ft. Jackson, SC, he worked in the motor pool as a mechanic. After his honorable discharge from the Army, he continued his career as a mechanic and went on to retire from Vick’s Auto Service in East Point. He enjoyed growing vegetables in his garden.
