City Clerk for 16 Years, Barbara McCravy Dies at Age 73
Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, Jan. 16, at 2 p.m. from Mars Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Terry Wofford and Rev. Larry Scott officiating.
Barbara McCravy, 73 of Whitesburg, passed away, Sunday, Jan. 13. She was born Jan. 28, 1939 in Douglas County to the late Fred Waldrop and Audrey Daniel Waldrop. During her career she worked as an Accountant for Douglas County for 13 years and was City Clerk for the City of Douglasville for 16 years. She was a member of the Mars Hill Baptist Church. Survivors are her husband, H. Gelon McCravy; son and daughter-in-law: Mike and Christy McCravy, daughter and son-in-law: Debbie and Mike Huckeba; grandchildren: Chris & Nikki Gable, Mike and Carrie Gable, Tim Gable; great grandchild: Jackson Michael Gable.
