Barbara Ann Morris Pointer Dies

Barbara Ann Morris Pointer, age 75 of Douglasville, passed away Thursday, June 7. A native of Douglasville, she was born April 18, 1937 the daughter of the late Joseph Alanzo Morris and the late Bessie Shead Morris. She retired from Sears & Roebuck. After retirement, she worked for DBIC. She was of the Baptist Faith, attending Liberty Baptist Church in Douglasville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Ola Mae Morris Gantt and Ruby Irene Morris Shead; and brothers, Jodie Morris and Harold Morris. She is survived by her companion of 46 years, Oscar Thompson of Douglasville; nephew, Nolan Shead of Canton; niece, Wanda Couch of Lithia Springs; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews also …
