At Patch, we don’t take shortcuts. That’s why we hire professional
editors and contributors in each of our towns and personally visit
every business in our Directory at least once a year.
Despite our best efforts, sometimes a personal visit is not possible
— a business might be run out of a home or the owner may be too busy.
In this case, we list the business on Patch with as much information as
we have. And because we believe in full disclosure, we include our
verification disclaimer.
We are always looking for feedback on our listings and the verification
process, so if you see incorrect information or have an opinion, please
send us your thoughts. If you are the owner or manager of a business or
organization, you can claim a listing and help determine what
information is displayed on Patch.
My experience with Pinnacle Orthopaedics in Douglasville, Ga was not very pleasant. The wait from sign in to in a room was not long at all and the office staff seemed to be very pleasant. I was seen by Dr. Brooks. The wait for him to come into my room was much longer than expected, even at a doctor's office. He told me I had a minor lateral malleus fracture (without explaination of exactly what that is, though I researched it afterthe visit). He asked me if I had insurance and that if I did he would put me in a boot to stabilize my ankle. I told him I was self pay. He got up, walked out of the room, and a nurse returned with a very nice ace bandage. She very roughly wrapped my ankle so tight that it was almost blue when I returned home; I live less than 15 minutes from their Douglas office. I made another appointment and was not asked to sign one of those forms that I always have to saying what the doctor did and what I was being charged for, though I was stopped in the parking lot by one of the receptionist to sign a statement that I would make monthly payments. I was never even told what the charges were for that visit. Now after giving them $150 at the time of service I have a $291.50 bill for the ace bandage and the "application of Splint/Short Leg", charged as two separate charges. I am not sure if Dr. Brooks or Pinnacle Orthopaedics is the problem, but they are a problem. They do not care for their patients, only their patient's money.
