At the same location for the past 10 years, First Baptist Church of Douglasville is headed by Senior Pastor Dr. John D. Pennington.  Dr. Kevin Williams is the associate pastor and student pastor.  The church's philosophy is, "First Baptist Church is where Jesus Christ is magnified through dynamic worship, intentional evangelism, personal discipleship, caring ministry, and loving fellowship."  Church ministries include: Adult Discipleship, children and preteen, early learning center, library, men's, music, preschool, recreation, senior adult, singles, student, Sunday school open group and women's.
