Chapel Hill Elementary School has been at its new location on Coursey Lake Road since 2007, but it has been a part of the Douglas County School System since 1978. Yvonne Kidney is currently the school's principal. There are nearly 800 students at CHES, home of the Cheetahs. The staff includes the principal, two assistant principals, 44 full-time teachers, four gifted teachers, four special education teachers, two physical education teachers, an art teacher, a music teacher, two counselors, media specialist, educational evaluator, social worker and a psychologist.
