Brighten Academy is a public charter school located in Douglas County.  The school has classes for grades Preschool through eighth grade.  Brighten Academy consists of 15 classrooms.  The school has an integrated curriculum and follows the guidelines of Douglas County and the Georgia Department of Education.   Brighten Academy teaches according to an instructional framework known as Connections. The main components of Connections are  character, commitment, critical thinking, creativity, curiosity, community and culture.  Brighten Academy is among the few schools in Georgia to receive a distinguished Great Schools Rating of 8 out of 10.
