We met Gary and Tina at a meet and greet for Southeastern Greyhound Adoption at the Petsmart in Douglasville, GA shortly after adopting our first greyhound. They were a wealth of dog knowledge - best foods, exercise, injury care, and many other topics. They were in the process of building their dream - Beechwood Trails Pet Lodge. Our greyhounds have stayed with them on numerous occasions and they always come home with smiles on their faces. In fact, on one occasion, we got the feeling that our little girl Handy had run of the whole kennel while we were away (she had her feet up on the computer table in Gary's office - something she never did at home!).
If you're looking for a home away from home for your dogs or cats while you travel, consider Beechwood Trails Pet Lodge. It's a bit off the beaten path, and well worth the few extra miles. They have wooded trails on their property for the pups to take walks. Wonderful options in the metro area for your pups and kits!

Our dogs don't like us having fun without them, but when we do, we trust Tina & Gary Wellborn at Beechwood Trails Pet Lodge to take care of them. Bonus: very quick to get to Hartsfield Atlanta Airport from their place.

I met Tina & Gary through their work with Southeastern Greyhound Adoption, before they ever opened Beechwood Trails. They have also been very supportive of the shelter in Douglas County.

Ask them how many homeless dogs they've taken in. I've lost count but I know it's more than most of us will in a lifetime. Good, dog-loving people who take good care of my bunch.
