Love to read? You need to visit the used book sale at September Saturdays Family Day this Saturday, Sept. 21 in Citizen’s Hall inside the Douglas County Courthouse.
Hardback books are one dollar and paperbacks are 50 cents. The used book sale is from noon to 6 p.m. with free admission and is open to the Public.
Got sagging bookshelves? Donate these books to the Friends of the Dog River Library for the used book sale.
Books in great condition may go on the library shelves, and all others will be sold to raise funds for children’s programming and other services and programs of the Douglas County Library. All book donations are eligible to be taxdeductible based on the donor’s individual tax situation, and forms will be provided to all donors.
The Friends group is collecting books now at the Douglas County Library located at 6810 Selman Drive, and donations will also be accepted at the Douglas County Courthouse between Wednesday, Sept. 18 and Firday, Sept. 20, in Citizen’s Hall inside the Douglas County Courthouse. Textbooks, encyclopedias, and moldy books will not be accepted.
