Support Brain Cancer Patient: Buy Wings This Weekend

Buffalo Wild Wings will donate 15 percent of its intake Oct. 28, 29 and 30 to Andrew Bain.

Andrew Bain graduated from in 1991. He went to Young Harris College on a tennis scholarship and Reinhardt College before attending and graduating from University of Georgia in Athens in 1996.  

Andrew's life was much like yours or mine until he was diagnosed with incurable and inoperable brain stem glioma cancer in 2010. Andrew worked in Athens,  making his home there until he was diagnosed. Today he is back with his family in Douglasville, parents June and Stephen Keen.

He currently has to take expensive daily FDA clinical trial treatments at home. Andrew has had radiation at Emory, has been to Duke, M. D. Anderson in Houston twice and spent three weeks at Burzynski Clinic, also in Houston.

Andrew's mom June said that his church, the , and the Douglasville community where Andrew grew up, has been very supportive. 

The mammoth monthly medical bills for his 12-month treatment plan are ongoing and must be met in order to continue his antineoplastin cell therapy administered at home in Douglasville. He also needs physical therapy. Staff members from the Burzynski Clinic, in Houston, call Andrew daily in relation to his home treatment.

Donations for Andrew can be made at any nearby Branch to the Andrew C. Bain Trust Fund. To date, there have been fundraisers at , , churches, as well as bike rides.

Restaurant at 6790 Douglas Boulevard will be donating 15 percent of their intake to Andrew all weekend, on October 28, 29 and 30. On Friday night, there will be a karaoke costume party. 

"Andrew must have the funds in order to continue his treatment, which is $7,600 each month for medicine and supplies," June Keen said. "Andrew is very bravely facing a daily struggle and long battle with the treatment alone lasting 12 months. Thank you all so very much for your love, caring and support for Andrew and his family who are so very humbled and appreciative for your efforts on his behalf."
