Chapel Hill Grad Finishes Basic Training

Air Force Airman First Class Joseph N. Jefferson graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, TX.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Jefferson is the son of Joseph and Carmen Jefferson of Abigail Lane, Friendswood, Texas.

He is a 2006 graduate of Chapel Hill High School, Douglasville. He received a bachelor's degree in 2011 from Georgia Southern University, Statesboro.
