ProjectFUN Summer Camp Ranges from Braves to Cows

The Douglas County Parks and Recreation Department ProjectFUN Summer Camp is in its third session of the summer. During the first two sessions campers had the opportunity to experience many different activities. They were able to attend a Braves Game, Zoo, White Water, swimming at Boundary Waters and Jessie Davis Park. They also enjoyed visits from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Department K-9 unit and the Douglas County Fire Department.

During the third session campers have had the opportunity to participate in a fundraiser with Chic-fil-a, dress up like cows and participate in cow appreciation day at Chic-fil-a and a visit from the Douglas County Dog River Library. The campers have enjoyed every activity they have taken part in.

The Douglas County Parks and Recreation Department thanked all the vendors, sponsors and departments that have helped make this summer a great one for the ProjectFUN Summer Camp participants.
