WGTC Women Run Win-Streak to 4 Games, 85-29 Over Truett-McConnell JV

West Georgia Tech improved its record to 6-3 on the season.

West Georgia Tech’s women’s basketball team ran its current winning streak to four games, with an 85-29 victory over Truett-McConnell College’s junior varsity squad Monday evening.

Kadriana Howard had another big night, with a 27-point effort on 12-of-18 shooting from the field. She also pulled down 14 rebounds for a double-double.

Kelsey Walthall also contributed a double-double, with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Walthall was 3-of-5 from three-point range.

Keonna Harris added 12 points on 5-of-8 shooting for the Golden Knights.

West Georgia Tech forced 37 turnovers on the night and had 30 steals led by Mahogany Harris with six.

The Golden Knights held TMC to just 26-percent shooting from the field.

West Georgia Tech dominated the glass, outrebounding Truett-McConnell 59-28.

The Golden Knights are back in action this Friday when they travel to Marietta to take on Chattahoochee Tech.

WGTC won the previous meeting, back on Nov. 8, 70-47.
