Region 5-AAAA Track Meet Starts Friday
Here's what's happening in high school athletics in Douglasville Patch on April 22.
Although there are a couple of high school sporting events being played around Douglasville on Friday, there will be action on Saturday also.
If you're an early riser, then plan to be at North Paulding High School by 9 a.m. for the beginning of the Region 5-AAAA track championships.
The boys and girls teams from Chapel Hill, Alexander and Douglas County will all be competing. The teams with the top times will qualify for May's state meet.

On Saturday, set your alarm for noon. That's when Douglasville rivals Alexander and Douglas County will meet on the diamond at Douglas County.
The Tigers are currently two games behind Alexander for the fourth and final playoff spot out of Region 5-AAAA and there's only three games left, which means Douglas County will be looking to get a huge win.
