Girls Softball Registration Starts Saturday

Douglas County Girls Softball Registration for Spring 2013 starts Saturday at the local parks.

Douglas County Girls Softball and its participating organizations has provided a softball experience for the youth of Douglas County since 1981. The program is for players 4 to 16 years old and is divided into the following age groups: 6 & Under, 8&U, 10&U, 12&U, 14&U, and 16&U. Beginners and experienced players are welcome.

Coach-pitch and Fastpitch programs are being offered. The base fee for Spring 2013 is $90 per player for fastpitch players (10&U and older) and $75 per player for Coach Pitch (6&U and 8&U). Additional fees may apply, check with the registering organization. All coaches are certified by the NYSCA and have had background checks performed.

Registration for the Spring Season is being held by the four participating organizations on Saturdays in January. Below is a list of times and locations. Generally, all the parks require forms to be filled out and signed by a legal guardian.

Organizers will be happy to answer any questions that you may have concerning our programs, fees, required equipment, practices, games and our rules. We will go over any information that is specific to the park that you sign up in. Bringing a copy (does not need to be certified) of the player's birth certificate that you can leave with us is also encouraged. Please note that at all Douglas County Parks & Recreation locations there is an additional $25 fee for all players who are not residents of Douglas County.
