Friday Preview: Panthers Can Take Region with Win

Douglas County plays a home game while Chapel Hill hits the road.

Paulding County (2-6, 1-4) at Douglas County (1-7, 1-4) – After a win two weeks ago – the first of the season for – the Tigers came up short against South Paulding. At 1-4 in Region 5S-AAAA play Douglas County cannot make the postseason, but it can hand Paulding County a loss and leapfrog the Patriots in the standings. The Patriots have lost six of their last seven games.

Chapel Hill (5-3, 4-1) at South Paulding (6-2, 5-0) – Tonight’s game has postseason seeding implications aplenty. If can beat South Paulding on the road, both teams will be 5-1 in Region 5S-AAAA play and the Panthers will hold tiebreaker rights. The Spartans have won five games in a row and with a win will wrap up the region crown.
