Friday Football Preview, Sept. 9

Douglasville Patch has four home games to choose from tonight.

East Paulding (2-0) at Douglas County (0-2) – was blanked last week by Warner Robins and the visiting East Paulding Raiders are not only ranked eighth in the state, but have allowed just four and a half points per game this year. This will be a rough game for the Tigers.

Arabia Mountain (1-1) at Alexander (0-2) – The Cougars fell in the final minute of last Friday’s game and look to finally get into the win column tonight. quarterback Dempsey Abernathy threw for over 300 yards and ran for another 100 and could knock off Arabia Mountain if the senior comes through again with an offensive explosion. Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m.

Pebblebrook (0-2) at Chapel Hill (0-2) – The Panthers lost last week by 23 and have given up an average of 36 points per game in their two losses. Pebblebrook has been handed defeats of a similar manner this year and lost their starting quarterback last week. , if it stays error-free, has a shot at breaking into the win column tonight. Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m.

Lithia Springs (0-2) at New Manchester (1-0) – will host its first-ever home varsity football game tonight against the visiting Lithia Springs Lions. Last week New Manchester beat Central, 32-2 in its first varsity game. Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m.
