girls and boys varsity basketball teams participate in 's first Lake City Classic Basketball Tournament, a three-day event involving eight boys teams and eight girls teams. North Clayton, Mays, Hillgrove, Lithia Springs, Johnson County and North Paulding join Allatoona and Alexander on the boys side, while Allatoona, North Paulding, South Paulding, South Atlanta, Alexander, Chestatee, North Clayton and Hillgrove play on the girls side. Alexander's girls open against Chestatee at 1 p.m. Dec. 28, followed immediately by the Alexander boys against Hillgrove at 2:30.
