Douglasville Rivals Set to Meet on Diamond

When Chapel Hill and Douglas County meet on the baseball field on April 18, there's going to be a lot on the line: namely region positioning and bragging rights.

With only six games left in the season, both teams could use a win Monday to improve their playoff chances in Region 5-AAAA.

At 3-5, Chapel Hill currently finds themselves two games out of fourth place. The fourth spot in the region standings is important because that's team makes the playoff; fifth place doesn't.

At 4-3, Douglas County is in a slightly better situation as the Tigers are only a half game out of fourth place.

The two teams squared off back on March 14 and Chapel Hill came away with an 11-3 win. Douglas County will be looking to avoid the sweep when the two teams take the field at 5:30 p.m.

Villa Rica at Alexander 5:55 p.m.

Chapel Hill at Douglas County 5:30 p.m.

Harvester Christian at Christian Heritage 4:30 p.m.

Boys Soccer

Paulding County at Chapel Hill 5:55 p.m.

Central at Douglas County 6:30 p.m.
