Colonial Hills Rams Rock with Road Victory

The Rams traveled three hours with the determination to win their first road game of the season and came away with a 35-14 victory.

Colonial Hills Christian School Rams varsity football team traveled to Millbrook, AL. last Friday night to take on the Eagles of New Life Christian Academy in an eight-man non-region game. The Rams traveled three hours with the determination to win their first road game of the season and came away with a 35-14 victory.

The Rams were led in rushing by Julius Davis who had four touchdowns and 350 yards on the ground. Davis, a senior at CHCS, rushed for 218 yards the previous week which puts him over 700 all purpose yards in the team’s first three games.

Nick Petrosky had another solid game at quarterback scoring on a short run and being very consistent behind center. The defense came alive the last two games with their gang tackling and putting pressure on the opposing quarterbacks.

Freshmen JC Shelton and senior Hamish Lamb have led the team with a combined 56 tackles in the past two games. The Rams defeated the Augusta Eagles the previous Friday night 32-26 in an 11-man game for their first win of the season.

“We strive each week to get better and cut down on the mistakes,” says fourth year Head Coach Sean Bruce.

The Rams are on action this Friday night in an 11-man matchup at home on
Homecoming night to cap off Spirit Week at the school. They play the Johnson Ferry Saints at 7:30 pm. The field is located behind the school at 7131 Mt. Vernon Road in Lithia Springs.
