Owner Tess Gamble celebrated the opening of her business, Pend Upon, with a chamber ribbon cutting on Dec. 3. Pend Upon is a lifestyle management company that is available to assist clients with personal needs. Their slogan is, “when life gets too busy, you can depend on us.”

Pend Upon is located at 3400 Chapel Hill Road in Douglasville.

Pend Upon is a single point of contact for all personal support services. The company provides busy individuals with personal services that include: running errands, making travel arrangements, planning small events,
coordinating utilities, supplying business referrals/vendors, conducting informational research (schools, transportation, cable, etc.), absentee/vacation home check and more.

Tess grew up in the low country of South Carolina. Her grandmother was a strong influence in her life. Like many people of her grandmother’s generation, who used interesting turns of phrase, her grandmother
referred to people colloquially that were dependable, trustworthy and supportive as a “Pend Upon.” After working in Corporate America for approximately 20 years primarily in Human Resources, she made the
decision to provide busy individuals the personal lifestyle management services she always desired. When the opportunity presented itself, it was an easy personal transition for her to utilize her human resources skills.
Douglas County Chamber President & CEO, Kali Boatright, congratulated Tess on behalf of the Chamber. “The Douglas County Chamber
would like to officilally welcome you as a new member and thank you on behalf of the City and County for locating your business in Douglasville,” commented Boatright. “We strongly support the Buy Local initiative
and will do everything we can to help ensure your business is a success.”
