D.A.N.N.Y. Center Reaches Out to Youth in Need

While Volt's headquarters is located in Atlanta, Dana is the local area representative for Douglas County.

D.A.N.N.Y Center President & CEO Lou Martinez and his team celebrated their recent joining of the Douglas County Chamber with a ribbon cutting on Nov. 19. While Volt’s headquarters is located in Atlanta, Dana is the local area representative for Douglas County. The D.A.N.N.Y. Center stands for Developing And Nurturing Needy Youth.

The D.A.N.N.Y. Center Inc. is a 501c3 non-profit organization that serves as a centralized resource for the youth in Douglas County. It is comprised of a diverse group of individuals from various ethnic groups and backgrounds. Their goal is to enrich the lives of the youth in our community. To serve as facilitators that provide education, career, and recreational opportunities for all youth who can benefit from them.

When these programs do not exist in your area, D.A.N.N.Y. will collaborate with organizations within the community to offer them to our youth. D.A.N.N.Y. Center offers multiple programs that cater to a variety of interests for all youth and their families. Programs include an afterschool program, evening resource center, youth small groups, community service programs, summer camp, family programs, sports focused activities and more.

Douglas County Chamber President & CEO, Kali Boatright, congratulated the D.A.N.N.Y. Center Board of Directors on behalf of the Chamber. “The Douglas County Chamber is grateful to you as a new member and applaud the programs you are providing to the youth in our community,” commented Boatright. “We look forward to supporting and promoting your organization as a member and a vital part of Douglas County.”
