Yeager Middle Gets Cool K-9 Demo for Topping Penny Drive

Yeager Middle School was the top middle school, adding to the community effort to gather more than 1,400 Pounds in Change Collected for the Douglas County Pennies for Police Dogs Drive.

Children and adults around the county emptied out their penny cans and secret change stashes for a good cause, contributing more than 1,400 pounds of change to Pennies for Police Dogs charity Drive.

This is the fourth year for the Pennies for Police Dogs Drive, where area schools compete to see who can raise the most money to help fight canine cancer. More than $4,200 was raised in this year.

The top three elementary and the top middle school received visits from local K-9 units as well as K-9 demonstrations and touch-a-truck opportunities.
