Severe Weather May Delay School Dismissal Today
If approaching weather conditions threaten, the school system will follow the established safety plan and delay dismissing students at the end of the school day until circumstances improve.
Douglas County School System staff members are closely monitoring the next round of severe weather expected to reach our area this afternoon, according to an email from the school system received by Douglasville Patch today.
"If approaching weather conditions threaten, we will follow our established safety plan and delay dismissing students at the end of the school day until circumstances improve," reads the email.
"The safety of our students is always our first priority."
