School System Thanks Participants in National Parent Involvement Day

"Today is National Parent Involvement Day," reads the letter from the school system. "I would like to thank you for your involvement in your child’s education and ask you to continue to find ways to stay actively engaged with your child’s teachers and school."

Andrew Agan, pictured here with Alexander High School principal Nathan Hand, volunteered to be "Principal for a Day," today, even though he is not a parent.

"I appreciate the support many of you were able to show for our second annual Foxhall Family Festival and hope that those who attended had a great time," continued the letter from the school system. "Mark your calendar for Oct. 4, 2014 for next year’s festival.

"We have had a busy start to the school year and are working to challenge each child to absorb what is being taught and know how to apply it in real-world situations. Please continue to stay involved and encourage other parents to do the same.

"I hope you and your family will enjoy the week-long upcoming break next week (November 25-29) and will be able to spend quality time with loved ones. We will see everyone back on Monday, December 2.
