No School for Students on Tuesday
All Douglas County Schools will be closed for students on Tuesday, Jan. 7 due to the forecast of extreme low temperatures tomorrow.
All staff will have a delayed start and report to work by 10 a.m. Employees unable to report for work will need to take leave.
In addition to schools being closed, there will not be any extracurricular events scheduled including athletics, practices, clubs, and field trips. No students are to be at school on Tuesday and no students will travel out of county for participation in school activities.
Schools plan to reopen on Wednesday. Tune in to Patch, WSB radio or television and other Douglasville and Atlanta media for closing announcements.
